Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!

It's the 143rd birthday of Canada. I watched the celebration in Parliament street but on television only. I haven't been actively participating in any Canadian events since I have not completely understood Canada's history yet. I did not anywhere and never did anything to get acquainted with its history and events. I'm just passively observing the things around me and getting used to this new environment.

In the past months, a lot of things have happened but I was too lazy to document everything. I will try to do that probably after the seminar I am currently attending, if I am able to remember any of it. For now, I just hope that I can share all my experiences and help my fellow Fil to adjust and make the most of their lives in Canada.

July is here! It's my month! :)

Showers in summer

I was so lazy to go to my seminar today. Bed-weather truly kept me hugging my pillow. It was difficult to wake up esp. when you hear the wind outside of the window. Raindrops falling on the roof, trees swaying outside, and no birds chirping today. Being melancholic at that, I almost arrived late. It's good though that my bus travel was a bit faster than usual.

Nothing spectacular happened today. I was just sitting for 8 hours chatting with my groupmates, trying to create a perfect resume and listening to mates who talk beyond my auditory grasp. As he continued speaking at the front, I signalled to our facilitator that I will leave. But being gifted with such ethical values (in short, I'm a bit shy to distract the class) I did not leave the room until he finished speaking. And when he did, the remaining participants were coaxing me to speak in front but I refused as I need to meet my sister. I sprinted just to reach the bus station on time. And when I did, the rain started pouring. It has not stopped and it is still raining as I write. Now I definitely am sure that I will be lazy waking up tomorrow. I just hope that the rain won't be that harsh tomorrow.

Overdue

This blog has been long overdue. When I left my beloved country, I told myself that I will share all my experiences here in Canada and try to connect with people who would need opinion on various things relevant to migration, running, project management, travel or just about anything under the sun. However, given the very limited time I have to actually sit in front of this interactive monitor, I failed to do my pledge. My bad.

But then, I feel that it is never too late to start. So, here is an account of all my experiences, random thoughts, queries, doubts and everything that the gray matter can process.
