My Pregnancy Journey

1.2.17

I am currently on my first cycle with my new RE. It's now my day 28th and had been advised to inject Ovidrel last 12.31.16 at 7pm. My single follicle on the right ovary has grown to 1.8mm and I had to induce my ovulation to ensure that it does not mature too much. Today, I visited the clinic and confirmed that I indeed ovulated and need to do the baby dance tonight. I had to come back again tomorrow to have another blood work and ultrasound confirmation. It seems to be looking good as per my RE so we will see tomorrow what happens next. (Photo credits from go28days.com).

One thing I observed in the clinic is the age range of women with similar fertility issues. It's very surprising that even a woman as young as 26 years old will need fertility assistance. Somebody needs to make a statistical studies of how many women are experiencing fertility issues and address the root cause of this. I am not sure if it's just me noticing this but I have my semi-conspiracy theory predicated on reality that Infertility knows no age boundary;

1) There must be something in the water or food that we consume that's causing these fertility issues (PCOS, endometriosis, Other reasons, etc...);
2) With the pregnancy pains that a woman has to go through, some just wanted an accurate number of children (twins, triplets, etc...) so they do not go through the same experience again. One time big time as they say it.

Anyway, for whatever reason, these Fertility clinics are helping lots of women like me make our dreams come true. Although I hear some ladies say that these Fertility Clinics are surely getting lots of profit out of women's issues, I'll know that for sure after this cycle.

More updates tomorrow.
